John spent a magical childhood in rural Wales. Climbing to the tops of trees and holding on as they swayed in the wind. Imagining how it felt to be a bird soaring high in the sky to places far away.
Becoming a writer of children’s stories was inevitable!
After Wales, John travelled the world and taught English to teenagers and children in Siberia and Western China. Once more, the joy of words unfolding in the excitement of reaching others with language. Always unearthing new ideas for stories that would one day be told.
John lives in Brighton with his wife and two children. He writes from a beautifully decorated garden shed with views of the South Downs.
The stories continue to flow as dreams are made real and maybe one day he’ll start climbing trees again!
